The Project  A volunteer programme introducing drama-based learning across multiple age groups at FLOWERS Special Education Centre in Yangon. 


The Work  Su facilitated drama sessions with learners from Pre-KG to Grade 10. Activities were adapted according to age, communication, attention, movement, and learning needs. Drama activities explored: Voice, Movement, Imagination, Regulation, Teamwork, Self-expression, Following shared rules and structures. 


Building Teacher Capacity  Alongside the student workshops, Su facilitated practical teacher training sessions. The workshops introduced teachers to: 

• Structuring a drama session 

• Using simple drama games with clear learning purposes 

• Adapting activities 

• Supporting participation 

• Using drama for communication, imagination, regulation, and collaboration 


The Aim  The aim was not to create dependency on an external teaching artist. The programme introduced practical tools that teachers could continue adapting and using in their own classrooms.
