The Project  Blind Runner is a Persian-language theatre production presented as part of Esplanade’s The Studios 2026. ALT STAGE supported the production through creative captioning. 

The Work  The captioning process considered dialogue, character identification, sound, rhythm, timing, and readability. Creative decisions were made around how captions could support audience understanding while remaining responsive to the pace and visual language of the production. 

Creative Access Approach  The work included consideration of: 

• Character identification 

• Sound description 

• Caption structure 

• Timing and rhythm 

• Readability 

• The relationship between captions and the wider performance experience
